<< More Information >>
Visual: Ravio almost always has his over-sized hood down, which has the appearance of a rabbit. It matches his purple robe, which covers him from wrist to ankle/neck to foot. He also has a floor-length black and blue striped scarf, and a brown belt with a large green rupee on the front. He often carries a large sack with the same green rupee design on it. Without the mask on, Ravio looks like a typical Lorulian/Hyrulian, with his long pointed ears and big eyes. He is shown to have bright green eyes, with dark purple hair.

Aural: Ravio has a kind and sweet voice, prone to rising and lowering for dramatic emphasis in his speech. He doesn't sound too old or too young. His laughs range quite a bit and are a means of communicating his emotions, from self-pleased little chuckles to boisterous laughter, and so on. Ravio is prone to a lot of exclamation noises which also help to convey his emotions clearly.
Olfactory: His scent varies greatly depending on what products he's selling. Overall he has a scent of cloth and wood.
Demeanor: Even though his face is normally covered by the bunny hood he wears, Ravio is very demonstrative physically. He waves his hands about, dances around, even goes so far as to dropping to his knees. He can be very dramatic and it's never a guess as to what he's trying to convey or what he's feeling.
<< Personality >>
The world Ravio comes from is set up as an alternate version of the Hyrule we're all familiar with from the Legend of Zelda games. Whereas Hyrule is relatively safe, friendly, green and beautiful, Lorule is purple, filled with skulls and terrible danger everywhere. Just as Link is a product of his world, so is Ravio a product of having grown up in Lorule. His world is full of thieves, dishonesty, death, danger, and so on. Ravio was supposed to have been the hero for Lorule that Link was for Hyrule, but he lacked the courage to do so and the princess of Lorule sees him as having failed their kingdom.
Ravio is definitely an anti-hero, juxtaposed against the true hero of the game, Link. Whereas Link is inwardly cuddly as a bunny and outwardly courageous, Ravio is the opposite. Outwardly he is kind, playful, and helpful but not at all heroic -- he quite literally wears a rabbit suit which symbolizes this. Inwardly, he is doing what he thinks is right no matter how scary or hard it is, and while he has doubts that his influence will at all be enough to make a difference, he takes that risk. The risk ultimately pays off, and shows its own kind of courage. Just as Ravio is one side of the coin and Link is the other, so their courage takes the form of two sides of a coin.

Part of his carefree attitude is a playfulness and quirky sense of humor. He enjoys interacting with Link, enjoys conversation and philosophizing, and he enjoys this covert role he's playing (Ravio does not reveal himself as Link's Lorule counterpart until the end of the game). Quite late in the game we get to see a glimpse of Ravio's journal and it's sweet in its fractured hope, showing us some of the hidden courage that Ravio does have, in risking coming to Hyrule at all. It's obvious he has a great deal of respect and concern for his own princess and what he did, while it seems selfish and self-serving, ultimately was to protect her and to protect Lorule. After Link purchases all of the items he has, Ravio compliments Link fervently on his courage and says that he feels like with enough heart, even a "tiny speck" such as himself might make a difference.
Ravio's strengths are in his ability to keep a good attitude most of the time, to see opportunity where he can, to survive even very harsh situations, and to help others. Weaknesses would definitely include his need to make some profit off of that help, that sometimes his sense of humor and helpfulness seem callous, and that he can be very cowardly in the face of direct threat.
